Howard was not the most popular.
How did Howard win in 98???. A gerrymander bigger than that of Joh.
Beasley wins 51/49 on the 2pp but fell an incredible 8 seats short of winning. Coalition winning 80 to 67.
Contrast that to the 2019 when Morrison won the 2PP by a similar margin yet won 77 seats to 68.
Thankfully the gerrymander of last century that saw Howard in power has been fixed in recent years.
