Parliamentary behaviour is clear for all to see as it's recorded.

personally, I think the overall quality of people in parliament is dreadfully low.

they are terribly educated, visionless mostly, weak, ineffective, badly behaved, mostly driven with strings attached somewhere

There's a general loss of respect in society and it's just reflected in all areas of politics. If people continue to vote for people with such characteristics, then we'll continue to have the problem.

If politics continues to attract such people, then we'll continue to have the problem.

IMO - the real problem is Ozzies - no one thinks of the nation at all. Until we get that happening - the muck is going to continue and it's probably just going to get deeper.

The foundation is the problem, the culture. If a nation can't and won't house, feed and educate it's own - then, this is what you get.

What happens when people go to work, two jobs often, both parents or single parents doing long hours and the kids are left to their own devices?

You get badly behaved kids - those kids can't be educated properly because there's no solid education - only job training.

What happens to those kids ------------ some of them become politicians.

We have now what is the product of not having solid foundations of a nation ------------- housed, fed, educated people. And education begins right at home - including manners and respect.

Want to see what Australia is like -- then, watch parliament and visit some bars at night.

Not possible to fix parliament unless one fixes the foundation.
