It is not up to the Chinese to sign off on products purchased by Australian builders. It is up to Australian builders to verify and confirm the standards. I have a brother in law that imports a huge range of products. He tells me the Chinese will manufacture to whatever standard we specify............We want cheap, low quality and that is what we get. We want high quality at a higher price and that is what you get.
Why was the combustible cladding even passed as suitable.? We check kids toys but allow that in, we make sure vehicles are compliant to our standards........... The fault lies directly with our lack of checks on imports.
