    imo however the Libs are hungry to regain power. they hate the idea that the Labs are doing a reasonably adequate job and managing the economy and Govt expenditure better than they did, so imo they'll want to make the best of their chances.

    it takes at least 6 months for a new leader to establish her/himself as a credible alternative, the longer a leader is in the job and in front of the public presenting policies that will encourage voters to return to their side.

    clearly Dud is not going to win the election. he's simply an unattractive option. and it isn't helped by his constant attack lines, which are mostly transparently specious and often coupled with dis/misinformation. whats even more obvious is that Dutton's/Liberals vote would have gone backwards but for the minor parties standing their candidates down.

    so I don't get why the Libs would hang on to Dud when its obvious he isn't making a dent in Labors successes or polling. theres at least a 4% gap they need to close if they're going to get anywhere.

    this is the key ramification from the Dunkley loss.
