Chalmers is not trained in accounting or economics. He is struggling with the basics. Do not let his media profile fool you. He is well trained in giving interviews but hopeless on understanding what happens in the real economy.
Proof - he claims giving handouts does not add to inflation. Wrong. When you add dollars to the system without increasing production by the same value then you eventually increase inflation as there is more money chasing the same amount of goods and services available for purchase. That is basic economic theory that Chalmers does not understand.
