Nobody wants a leader who should be doing jail time as PM.
The people did not want Turnbull and the Libs - somewhat belatedly and dragged yelling, screaming and chest thumping to the room have made the right decision. (Kudos to Dutton)
It will be interesting to see the first few polls.
I think Morrison will beat Shorten as preferred leader - even in the first poll.
Also I think he will keep the 2 party preferred vote the same as Turnbull - even at the first vote and improve after that. Which means with the margin of error that LNP with a new leader will stay in government.
I hope Morrison gives Abbott a cabinet post and unleashes the Rottweiler on Shorten who under Turnbull has had a dream run.
Even without Abbott there will be enough shyte/truth thrown at Shorten to make him unelectable. Then watch the panic set in and the ALP will self destruct within months.
Shorten is a union thugee and the electorate knows that. The electorate also knows that it is only by his position, skulduggery and connections that he is not in jail.
The best way to ensure the Libs do not win the next election was with Turnbull as leader.
The best way to ensure Labor do not win the next election is with Shorten as leader. (listen - can you hear the knives sharpening???)

Ah music to my ears, the rabid right still wants Abbott back. Perhaps they will continue to white ant Morrison, as they did Turnbull, producing the self fulfilling goal of keeping the ALP in front despite the obvious flaws in Shorten's persona , then using that as an excuse to get rid of him.
I can only hope.
