Dutton's folly, page-84

This is not really the sort of choice the electorate should have in a free democracy though?

If Dutton wants to lift the moratorium on nuclear reactors in Australia, and then leave it to the market to build them if they are worthwhile, then fine.

But he didn't stop there. He wants to dictate where seven nuclear reactors go, he wants to dictate how big they are, and he wants us all to agree to it without telling us how much they cost.

All without any energy experts informing these decisions. And actually in contrast to what any experts have recommended.

Do you think an expert would choose those sites, or that number or reactors?

Do you think an expert would even choose nuclear if they had the option of cheaper techologies?

Call me crazy, but I'd prefer to let energy experts decide where and how our national electricity grid is developed.

Not have a politician decide based on which of his donors he wants to give money to.

We have a lot of experts with intimate knowledge of our power grid. Dutton is ignoring all of them.
