Dutton's hypocrisy

Dutton has announced on Sky that he'll hold another referendum on constitutional recognition if he wins the next election.

After he's whinged about the cost of this referendum he's committed to hold one himself.

This is plainly a catch to raise his prospects for the next election. He's confirmed what I've been saying all along that his whole rejection of the Voice is nonsense and is all about his hope for winning the next election. NOT about this referendum at all.

Yes he's committed to a legislated Voice as well... so all the No! mob's criticism of the Voice is now null and void.

I suppose he's trying to convince those who want recognition but believe the constitutional placement of the Voice is permanent. but this is a patently clear lie as if the Voice is to be removed all he has to do is convince the voters to give him permission at another referendum.

Yet he will still legislate a Voice anyway.

so what remains of his point? empty rhetoric is all he has.
