I always thought the original subs call of retrofitting a diesel engine to a sub designed for nuclear propulsion was the epitome of madness.
I was kind of hoping that sanity prevailing and getting on board with AUKUS would be the first step in building a core of expertise in nuclear technology in this country and swaying public perception.
