I really think you're ascribing far too much influence to Peter Dutton, Scott. With or without the Opposition leader, there are millions of Australians that ark up when the subject of changing the date gets mentioned, and that is amplified when we get nearer to Australia Day itself.

It's now only 11 days away, businesses are virtue-signalling to generate positive (or limit negative) press, and a whole bunch of Australians are arking up. Peter Dutton might be stoking the fire, but so are businesses, and he can't create it Scott. It's always there.

Are you sure you aren't just targetting Peter Dutton to avoid the fact that you actually have a great deal of contempt for the entirety of that particular cohort of the population? I mean, I sympathise that it is easier to hate 1 person than millions. It's also easier to name them.
