My daughter back in Aus has just left a relationship and had to get a VRO as the ex was stalking her and abusive.
Hopefully they respect the order and stop their behaviour.
A stressful time for her and me.
DV is real and unfortunately it can affect anyone and any family.
The proposal to provide emergency financial support to those fleeing abuse or violence is a very good move imo and the government should be commended for making it happen.
Luckily in her case I've got the money to fund her accommodation and legal fees but others obviously aren't in that position.
