I would say 'fear' as opposed to failings
there are FAR more in Oz in my experience who resist change
if one requires a look at Ozzie resistance and attitude - try throwing about an idea for a business or idea that one is attempting -
OMG - the amount of naysayers is overwhelming
I believe that the human race progresses - in spite of itself
and as far as progress goes - all I see is technological progress and a bit of social progress - basic nature of humans - hasn't shifted one mm
and if one looks at the intellect on here ----------- neither has intelligence much - stupidity is rife - and deep
