DVA - Another great Investment being raided before the value has been realised

Really , Its hard to find good companies to invest in and after having found this one I had thought we could put an investment together that would deliver results over the next few years and probably be a good earner into the future with a steadily increasing dividend.

Well now its the subject of a takeover - Nothing like the emerging success to be stolen from existing shareholders.

So now we have someone bidding for DVA @ 53c but in reality I think it would have been and would still be worth around a $1.00 in less than 18 to 24 months. The deal is there , its been done - DVA just have to exercise their option on the balance of TranZact and the company should swing into profit. We all know that these services companies once profitable grow cash flows and profits each year - Its the big hole until they get there that makes it hard to invest in them.

So just as we are getting there an offer is made. Given the past history many holders will be happy to liquidate - It having taken longer to get to break-even and the hole that has been made bigger than expected as it has taken longer to get here.

I understand their frustration but right now when its turning around they have an offer that does not recognize the value that is being built up and the future value that they lose by accepting the offer.

Its so hard to research and find good companies this just gets to happen more and more and opportunities get fewer and fewer. I hope that the offer fails. I wont vote in favour - In fact I will vote against but really dont have much say in all of this as a small investor.
