ESS will be open cut in the medium term. The skills and experience are very different from underground mining and will not take any skills from the current contract mining. ESS have employed contractors for past mining, so it can be assumed that they will not have much to contribute in the way of site personnel for a mining endeavor.
On the other hand, I would assume that BB would be well enough connected to get a new team together pretty quickly. Let me tell you that anyone with a successful operation is at a huge advantage over anyone starting from scratch to get going. I have been there in the past.
