It's pretty simple and harmless to briefly state what the news was instead of messing people around. There is no issue whatsoever with stating something like...
"I feel this will flow because......"
or
"I am confident things will go well because....."
If she can't do that, then she is just messing us all around.
.....or if she's now realised it's something that we already all know then say that. I'll be surprised if it's something we don't already know.
