    Kaddy marketplace & fulfilment will be similar to Amazon & Alibaba models offering logistics. It streamlines everything & makes it very easy for sellers & buyers to do business.

    Amazon has about $490B GMV & $300M of this is via third party sellers. They skim 15% x $300M = $45B. And another 10% for fulfilment = $30B + 15% for advertising = $45B for a total of $120B. So revenue via GMV fees = $45B / $120B total revenue = about 1/3 similar to Kaddy model. Amazon hide GMV, however, analysts have estimated the above. Amazon's third party marketplace has been described as a cash cow.

    Marketplace’s hidden fortunes

    What’s missing is the actual dollar value of retail sales on Amazon. “They don’t talk about the third-party Marketplace and its gross merchandise value (GMV) or the dollar value of goods sold on Amazon.com AMZN +3.7% AMZN +3.7%,” Boyce shares. “Analysts have done the calculations and estimate Amazon’s GMV is about $490 billion in total and about $300 billion of that is from third-party sellers.”

    He goes on to unpack the Marketplace numbers, which are hidden in Amazon’s SEC reporting. He estimates seller fees are 15% of the $300 billion or $45 billion. Fulfillment by Amazon is another 10% or $30 billion. And ads are about 15% too.
