if the the platform is superior wouldn’t a free/discounted trial period like (6-12 months) for major suppliers only be an option? Once that has ended if the platform is superior they will be more than happy to stick around and pay for it.
Any trial period would obviously have to be long enough so that if the platform wasn’t the right fit for a supplier they would have enough time to find an alternative or go back to their old system.
