Regarding your point of "when B2B platform gains traction..", this reminds me of the below wiki I was reading yesterday regarding the "network effect" - the article made the opportunities and hurdles of our business model much clearer to me.
Feels to me like DW8's business model ticks the boxes, such as "enough value without network effects, at least to early adopters" (eg. small wineries), and taking the right steps to attract initial users (i.e. introductory benefits including no listing fees, no handling fees and free storage" from the recent soft launch email) to be able to reach critical mass / market tipping.
