I was reading John Bogle's book "Enough", and came across this wonderful statement - figured I'd share it with you lot.

"In Times of Uncertainty - In the Stock Market, you do the opposite of what you'll do when a house is burning down. When a house is burning down, you'll stand up and run - DO SOMETHING! A long term investor, should do the exact opposite. Sit down and wait - DO NOTHING. This isn't the place for individual who run from day to day fluctuations or a headline that reads 'The next big Recession is coming'. It takes tremendous amount of patience and a remarkable amount of discipline, to do absolutely nothing".
