I've been involved in many big system implementations and we have purposely used the 4 day Easter weekend to get ready for production and/or to test iron out/bugs. So closer to that time would be ideal as they can always shut it down over the four day break to fix/do bug checks etc. No new system goes perfect from day one so they will need some production down time.
