I agree with comments here that Dean is building a model that has some similarities to Amazon.
Bezo used books to build his platform, Dean is using wine.
Bezo focused on B2C through Amazon.com, Dean is focused on B2B through the trade platform.
I still feel we need a strong consumer website to power the flywheel as well.
One key element that is often not well understood is the revenue that Amazon and Ebay earn through advertising on their platforms!
Look at the example below, Amazon did $20b in advertising revenue last year.

One of the pillars in the AGM presentation was
So no doubt Dean is planning to have some decent advertising revenue churning through the platform, targeting the trade buyers and the Insider Trading subscribers, which will then extend into managing digital campaigns for Wineries across many platforms (ie: Ebay, Amazon, Vivino, etc).
No doubt this will take a while to build and even longer to start hitting the bottom line, but it could be a significant contributor in time.
