So 9 dozen or 108 bottles x $30 average = $3,240 average per week. This provides us with some metrics for 2 x smaller venues.
If it was purchased via the DW8 platform = minimum of $324 B2B fees & as high as $405 with fast payment. Plus the 9 cases at say $5 per case delivery = $45. A total of $369-$450 revenue for DW8 / 2 venues = $185-$225 so say about $200 per venue per week = $10.4k pa.
1,000 of these smaller venues = circa $10M revenue. 1,000 / 50,000 = 2% market share.
Gross Profit will be $333/$369 = 90.2% or $414/$450 = 92% with fast payment. So circa $9M gross profit for 1,000 smaller venues.
Using the 80:20 rule, 200 larger venues should generate $50M revenue & $45M gross profit. 200 / 50,000 = 0.4% market share.
It is very clear now that trading fees will be the largest revenue stream as mentioned by DT & gross profit will be very high.
Can you currently buy from a big supplier such as ALM?
