I understand your concern but don't be too alarmed.

I've personal extensive experience in a related industry and can vouch that it's usually a tactical move to weed out certain personalities from applying and to save time.

It tells me they are targeting someone who doesn't mind a bit of fun and banter in an eccentric dynamic work environment.

In a nut shell they don't want personalities that fall in to the nerdy, precious, stiff and stale category.
