@Hzichy yes love Nocton as well, and had a pinot of theirs recently actually.
There are certainly many many fantastic wines from the island, and the few I listed were really just my favourites nearby where I live, in Hobart.
Definitely agree there is a lot on offer in the Tamar Valley, and I think between Tamar and Coal Valley we have the best of the state on offer really. Add in a caveat that there are some great east coast vineyards too (my friends own Darlington in Orford which is great), and some top notch north west producers (love Barringwood; I grew up in Ulverstone so love checking out those smaller producers up that way).
Yes Richard Smith (new W.D. sales acc manager for TAS/VIC) has some fun work cut out for him in tas recruiting our gems. I will meet up with him for a coffee and a chat when he's down. Always good to get involved. I'll see if I can get a WineDepot cap.
