Good Morning Dean,
I have some questions regarding the B2B marketplace. There is a poster on HC currently using the B2B marketplace & he has provided some metrics on products currently listed on the marketplace & order numbers as follows:
304 products via Bibendum listed
July 6th 2021
Wine - (633 results)= +108 since May 28th
Beer / Cider - (7 results)= -1 since May 28th
Spirits - (65 Results)= +18 since May 28th
Other - (33 Results)= +2 since May 28thTOTAL products = 738
June 23rd 2021
Wine - (585 results)= +60 wineNo info posted on other products
May 28th 2021
Wine (525 results)
Beer / Cider - (8 results)
Spirits - (47 results)
Other - (31 results)TOTAL products = 611
The Investor Webinar Presentation on 31/07/2020 mentions the following:
STAGE 2 - Direct-to-Trade / Marketplace
● Initially focusing on the SYDNEY & MELBOURNE markets
● Develop initial range of circa2,500 productsby engaging:
○ Existing AU & NZ customers small & medium wineries that self distribute
○ Wineries who have registered interest via pre-marketing initiatives
○ Partnerships with selected distributors
There are currently 738 products listed in leau of 2,500 products as mentioned.304 products appear to be from Bibendum.Quite a few HC posters along with myself have some concerns as the products listed on the marketplace are significantly lower than planned.
Have all the Bibendum products been uploaded to the marketplace or is this ongoing?
Why are the products listed on the marketplace less than 2,500?
When do you expect to have 2,500 products listed as per Stage 2 of the plans?
Are the products listed on the marketplace being done gradually to balance with the number of trade buyers?
Do you have any metrics on active trade buyer numbers & average order value that you can make available in Company Updates?
With over 500 brands with numerous sku’s each now using the DW8 platform I thought there would be significantly more than 2,500 available to be listed on the marketplace.I understand some brands may not want to list products on the marketplace.
Here is some feedback from the HC poster currently using the B2B marketplace:
“I use the platform and have found that there aren’t enough products.
I would much rather a choice of 5000 rather than 700.
Take Champagnes for example
39 Total - 12 Sold Out (never been available)
Would rather have 50 to choose from to be honest”
Order Numbers
May 25th - #1070
June 8th - #1082
June 23rd - #1141
July 6th - #1182What order number did it start at?
The marketplace has only just commenced in Sydney with about 700 products listed on the marketplace & order numbers will increase as more products are listed & other cities come online. The current lockdowns have been a headwind but they will be gone soon.
If you can answer some of the questions that will be great & if not that is ok I understand.Maybe you could address some of the questions during the next Company Update or thereafter.
In the meantime, keep up the excellent work along with the DW8 team.
Kind Regards
Steve
