While I don't profess to understand any of it personally (my brain isn't wired that way) that doesn't mean there's no basis to it. My feeble-brained perhaps autistic understanding is that it is a way of representing the psychology of the market rather than the fundamentals, and as such seems a quite reasonable tool to include in the investors toolbox.
