Watching tonight's SixtyMinutes. The melanoma drug the woman used only worked in 40% of patients!
Nivolumab was discovered by Medarex using its specialized checkpoint inhibitor program. Medarex was bought out by Bristol Myers Squibb for $2.4B "largely on the strength of its checkpoint inhibitor program"
Its a drug that doesn't work in 3 out of 5 patients....and they bought the company for $2.4B... (it's used in metastatic melanoma and small cell lung carcinoma)
Imagine, for a second, if DMX-200 works in >50% of patients, and DMX-250 is equally efficacious.... The tech backing it up would be worth billions.
It's doesn't need 100% efficacy to be valuable.
