Maybe a relatively small JV is not a bad option to get first mover status on DSSC .Richard Caldwell may want to steer the company in a slightly different direction .I would be all for that ,as being in JVs where DYE use their knowledge and expertise ,and the other JV partner supplies the capital and marketing ability would be very advantageous for DYE .

Its probably more about controlling the IP for the upscale of the manufcturing equipment .This business will be fairly lucrative ,and being in a JV with the Chinese will assure that nobody will be able to seriously undercut their product price .
