Yeah, it will be good to get an update on the tech...from what I've read DYE has moved onto their own version of the porous carbon electrode model without HTM (hole transport material) or an aluminium back reflector, so that it is cheaper and has other advantages.
I think a uni in China at HuaZhong collaborating with Gratzel produced the first one but I'm not sure...it seems to have a porous carbon layer, a zirconium oxide layer, and then a couple of TiO2 layers - they reported about 13% and 10000 hours...apologies in advance for using words...there is a picture associated with the second article...I mean it's all very well to bang on with this technical mumbo jumbo but where's all this research and optimisation going to get us? ...ah god, ok, I better stick a face in...strewth......go DYE...go science...go earth...go go dancer...
