Near-Term Product: Commercial and residential windows based on dye sensitive solar cells encapsulated in architectural glass
Project: DyeTec will build a pilot production line for 12"x12" prototypes, analyze and optimize the prototype efficiency and finalize the product cost model. Pilkington N.A. (Toledo) is assisting DyeTec in the design and construction of the glassmaking process.
Projected Impacts: - DyeTec's engineering, R&D and pilot line will be in Ohio jobs creating >20 jobs immediately - Pilkington will produce the glass for the BIPV products - Investments of over $8M expected through 2014 - Sales of ~ $20M anticipated by 2015 plus licensing revenues
