Dying in Afghanistan

I note in this morning's Australian that the USA has requested Australia send more troops to Aghanistan.

I am not in favor of any more Australians, Americans or Europeans going to,dying or having legs blown off there. It always has been and always will be a dangerous dung hole.

The locals don't want to give up their primitive religion and its practices. Leave them to it. We cannot even describe what victory there is let alone plot a course towards it.

The Americans should cut their losses and admit defeat and go home like the Russians, English and Greeks eventually did. The chaps with sandals and donkeys have defeated the helicopters, drones and tanks, again.
