Well stating that "most that believe in a next life, particularly reincarnation & rebirth, are postponing things to be done to the next life" is rather foolish unless you have some hard facts to back it up...

It probably does not make too much sense to "postpone things to be done to the next life" since there does not seem to too much reported evidence of continuity across multiple lives, although there are some rare exceptions of some very, very small number of children who seem to claim some memory of details of previous lives...
Since these would seem to be exceptional cases and not supported by anything by claims, the choice of your "most" seems to have been rather unrepresentative...
