2 years ago I was in Suragao del Sur with my wifes parents south of what LIN have .
The East side of Mindinau where LIN is, does not have the Muslem problems that are further south and to the west, although there is still some trouble the local police sargent was killed in front of journalists because he was checking up on some illegal logging.
Being on a small island off the coast of Mindinau probably offers better security for LIN than being on Mindinau and probably they could have their own wharf close to any mine which would make logistics very favourable.
THe locals have a rumour that the Japanese during the second world war buried a trunk full of gold near where LIN has pegged their tenament.
I spoke to Mathew Wood about 8 years ago may be time to call him again
