This is the actual abstract from the 2005 study quoted by Fermiscan

" Abstract
A correlation between the incidence of breast cancer and an observed change in the X-ray diffraction pattern of hair from the afflicted individuals was first reported in 1999. Since that time, over 500 hair samples have been analyzed in double-blinded breast cancer studies with no false negatives being detected. To correlate this observed change with the presence of breast cancer, we examined whiskers removed from nude mice prior to and 8 weeks after subcutaneous implantation of a human breast cancer cell line. Here we show that the change observed in human hair was also evident in whiskers and that it appeared soon after cancer cell implantation."
I don't have access to the actual article, but from the abstract, this was a study on mice!
" Since that time, over 500 hair samples have been analyzed in double-blinded breast cancer studies with no false negatives being detected. "
The above statement made by Fermiscan clearly did not take into account a few other studies including the largest blinded randomized trial to date (the one I quoted earlier) which included many examples of false negatives.

And these are a few studies by other authors who did not find any link between hair diffraction and breast cancer as well.

Basically there have been no other groups who have managed to duplicate Dr James findings, as far as I can see...
Of course, as explained by Dr V James herself, it could be because the methodology used is incorrect...
