The article is far too simplistic, and incorrect.
An ICE has 30,000 moving parts.
An EV has an almost infinite number of moving parts. 11,000 mechanical parts, plus billions of electrons moving back and forward as the thousands of batteries are discharged and charged. And that’s the true barrier to entry, the costs associated with housing and harnessing those electrons. Safely and efficiently.
