For similar reasons to yours I will be sticking with diesel for the time being jantimot.
But for those many people who only ever use their car for commuting or getting to the local shops an EV is ideal.
In other words people who never use their car to travel more than 200 km a day.
So I don't understand why those of you opposed to EV's continually drag up their unsuitability for long trips.
I think EV's will replace a lot of petrol cars over the next decade but only where they are a good option and for many people they would be especially for those who can recharge them from their rooftop solar.
