@delta00 I'm sure you've read, Dyson bought solid-state battery start up Sakti-3 for a further $90m in 2015 and then announced intentions to build a $1B battery factory, and to be the first to bring solid state battery EV's to market in 2020.(1,2)
The latest update seems to be that solid-state technology is not as far advanced as they thought and after an invested $2B, Dyson now intends to release its first EV in 2020/21 without a solid-state battery, opting instead for just standard li-ion tech.(3)
Regarding their corded home products, it seems they're doing away with corded vacuum cleaners at least, in favour of all-battery models which, is a logical development imo.(4)
How this relates to Magnis, I think it's a great example of where solid-state technology is really at.
