If he thinks the crowd were booing Hawkins then hes a mug. They booed the crap out of the umpires because they were shocking. Hawkins actually got a generous round of applause but of course the Vics will believe what they want as usual. Geez there are some short memories eh? I remember when West Coast used to go to Moorabbin in the late 80s and would get spit on through the fence as they were running out. Guy McKenna got laid out by Lockett and got spat on as he got carried off out cold on the stretcher. I remember the time Craig Turley got put in a head lock by a bombers fan on the boundary at Windy Hill. We would go to Vic Park to play the pies and the supporters would be lining the fences ready to take a swing if we came near the boundary line. But the old Chardonnay set...man they're shocking.
