I would estimate to get into the US market fast and with a sales team attached it would be somewhere between $10-25m. So us a shareholders don't need to put more cash in.
What you have here is a fantastic deal
You get North American exposure much quicker than what is possible with a start-up with the largest established player. They already have paying customers in the US$73bn market.
These customers will no doubt want even higher quality images for certain applications and these customers will be able to strike up a deal that would leverage the superior image capture rate for applications such as 3D mapping of cities.
Spookfish receives considerable cashflow from the royalties.
I see that EagleView will acquire Spookfish not just to acquire the rest of the shares it doesn't own and stop paying a royalty for North American sales. It will acquire Spookfish for access to the Australian market alone.
