You had mentioned seeing what the would go for some may want them straight away and be willing to pay more than the buy price. I don't want them I don't use earbuds not my thing. But in saying that if they work well in a crowd maybe in the future who knows. I for one think you have been strait up here. Have seen too many down rampers to put all observation in the same basket.
