To me it's almost a no-brainer. Whether it's a good deal or not looked at in isolation, in my mind, misses the point. This is an investment within 'the moat' - in my mind, exactly how acquisitions should be made. It strengthens their competitive advantage. It deepens their relevance to the NZ Rugby League. It strengthens their negotiating hand. Anything else, in my mind, is gravy.
