"PARIS (Reuters) - French oil services group Technip (TECF.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) on Thursday said it would partner nuclear reactor maker Areva (CEPFi.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) to develop mining projects, with total investment of around 3 billion euros ($4.72 billion).

Technip did not say -what its share of the investment was or over what period of time, only saying the program aimed to double Areva's uranium production capacity in the next five years with around 10 new mining operations, mostly in Africa."
