re: poly pipe ok i am a gasfitter and operate an own a gas and hot water company, my back ground was from AGL gas co. in Sydney all new housing developments are run in poly pipe either poly ethelyner Rilsan, it was often we ran domestic insitue gas services up to 400kpa in rilsan @ 12mm, all old mains were case wich we use to break out and replace will pol ethelyne, i do belive than could get away as a temporary as long as it has uv rating
