I agree Pints. But it just astounds me that the NRL didn't involve channel 9 in discussions. I can only presume that the NRL feared channel 9 trying to negotiate them down so they decided it was best to just carry on without poking the bear. I think that is the most logical explanation and the NRL want to act like the season is not going to be impacted = fulfil their broadcasting obligations.
That's the only reason i can think of why the didn't include channel 9 of their plans.
