Childcare subsidy has been plagued by issues for quite a few months. For weeks there have been concerns about parents underestimating their incomes for the year ended June 2019. Confirmed in the media "the Childcare sector is bracing for a flood of upset and confused parents, with about a third of the 1.1 million families who receive the Childcare subsidy predicted to have been overpaid for the previous financial year."
Hopefully centre's will be ready to work with parents, to ensure that, if a debt has been incurred and not covered by the $1080 or the 5% withheld, that reducing days of enrolment will not occur. No further drops in occupancy would be welcomed at this time of year.
Goodstart are adding 23 early learning centre's currently operated by Mission Australia to their portfolio in September this year.
Those of you who have been with G8 for many years will be familiar with their current and previous top twenty shareholders. Interestingly, some of those shareholders appear to be evolving into the top twenty of another corporate Childcare provider. Four acquaintances now appear to be holding a fairly high percentage of shares. All evolving nicely for those parties.
