The interesting dynamic that I don’t think Joe has appreciated fully in the past was the ability of the chinese to dial up volumes and produce a reasonably good lithium battery product sourced from their abundant Lepidolite resources. The lepidolite product is clearly much more expensive to process than spodumene, but in the future it may prove to put a ceiling on Lithium around the US$2,000 to $2,500 level.

plenty of upside in the short to medium term for us on that basis, but we must also consider that the explosive lithium EV BOOM just may be over going forward.

Interesting analysis, The word is China running down on lepidomite reserves and quality is poor compared to spodumene. Next stage of the EV development is to shake of China control of battery supply and chemical pricing.
