Hey Nick, checkout 'WealthWithin' on youtube, they run an online course apart from free tips as well a subscription for other/more content. They are also giving away a free trading advice book(you need to pay shipping), which I've read, it's a great start for a beginner. They talk mainly about technical analysis (charts) and top 200 ASX stocks but you can still apply some of their strategies with the penny stocks.
