So gold goes down because Treasury rates go up?

Um, last time I checked the US couldn't afford to meet much higher interest costs. They can't afford to just let treasury rates rip. If US treasury rates go up, to my mind that just means the US will have to start buying them to control the rate. That's what happened post World War II. Interest rates were capped, while inflation was allowed to do what it wanted. Real yields up to negative 15%.

Buy yeah, this time it's probably different. I'm sure the US government will carry the can, not bond holders. If you are thinking about selling gold I think you need to consider what might happen a few moves ahead. I know markets are short term focused, but I never fail to be surprised....
