Interesting read in Perth Sunday times, south african couple with young child, together earning $200,000 per year and are unable to buy a house.
They are unable to save, their mortgage is $2500. per month.
What do they want a mansion, why on earth would you pay that kind of mortgage if your saving for a deposit on a home.
Why not live in a small flat with smaller rental.
Are these new immigrants wanting too much from Perth and Australia.
I remember my struggles, and we lived in a small flat for a number of years with those noisy neighbours, just to save for a deposit.
I remember my parents when they came out they worked three jobs just to save for a deposit.
If it was good enough for us, why isnt it for these immigrants.
