It's mind boggling how something as simple as currency conversion are made out to be so complicated by some - especially brokers.

The three big mining houses are in Australia, Canada, Brazil. BLY earns more revenues in these places than in U.S. Converting AUD and CAD into USD reflects positively with a weak USD. How could people twist this simple fact to say it's negative? If your brokers and MQG says strong AUD is bad they're twisting the truth.

Good grieve! if I listened to brokers and investment houses like MQG I would have sold all my shares back in March at the bottom of the cycle. They've all been saying sell, sell, sell. Glad I didn't listen to any of them. And now they say buy. Trust me when the sp shoots up higher they'll say strong buy then.
